We were thinking about the above saying that was widely distributed a few years ago. It might be improved by saying, "I don't want to be part of the problem, but I really don't know how to be part of a solution". Doesn't that make sense when we hash and rehash the problems in our schools and communities and then realize that it's all just TALK with no idea or concerted effort to solve the problems? Even the news media will invest time, treasure and talent toward initiatives like "Education Nation" where they have days of speakers and conversations but rarely a call to action about how to actually do something toward solving the problems. As a teacher, I get so tired of just talk!!! I am sure that is why Jim and I spend so much time creating steps and vital behaviors that are practical and proven toward school improvement. You don't need more talk. You LIVE in the problems! But, what should we actually DO ???
IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS WE WILL BE EXPLORING THIS FURTHER AND WILL WELCOME YOUR THOUGHTS AND INPUT.
